Every year, Billboard honors a special group of women in the music industry, and it’s always beautiful lot see so many successful females come together. Angie Martinez has done a lot to contribute to music culture over the past two decades, having been one of the top radio hosts in the hip hop market. Having been at Hot 97 for over a decade, and now Power 105, the host has pushed hip hop culture forward in amazing ways.
Lauryn Hill is a woman with tons of Grammy’s and awards, all with only one solo album out since the 90’s. The singer and MC has still been able to be one of the most impactful spirits in the game, and has set the bar for what it means to be a female artist.
