There’s no doubt Kanye’s Ye album was inspired by real people and real situations. Even though the two don’t necessarily cross paths often, Wiz Khalifa received a shout out on the track “Yikes.” The only beef between the rappers took place over social media as Kanye attacked Wiz on Twitter after the release of TLOP. Kanye threw shade at his music, fashion, and even his kid. The two hashed things out shortly after.

Wiz Khalifa opened up about his thoughts on Kanye’s name drop during a radio interview with Atlanta V-103. The lyrics from the track “Yikes” go on, “Uh, just a different type of leader/We could be in North Korea, I could smoke with Wiz Khalifa, uh.” Laughing it off he stated, “It was cool. He was talking about smoking pot… It made sense.”

He went on to confirm they don’t see much of each other in the business, but he supports his music. “I love his beats.” Besides music, on a personal note Wiz believes everyone has a right to their opinion and praises Kanye for speaking his mind regarding his political views. Wiz Khalifa is currently promoting his latest album Rolling Papers 2, which is set to release July 13.
