The songbird of Murder Inc was Long Island native, Ashanti. Her vocals first grabbed ears when she appeared on tracks with Big Pun (“How We Roll”), Fat Joe (“What’s Luv”), and Ja Rule (“Always on Time”). She would later establish a reputable career as a solo artist with platinum albums consisting of Ashanti, Chapter II, and Concrete Rose.
