Tyga’s streak of losses continues to pile up, as he was slammed on Twitter recently because of a picture he took mirroring a throwback photo of Tupac. While his tribute seemed to come from a genuine place, thousands of fans on Twitter bashed him endlessly when he elected to refer to Tupac as his dad.

Tyga offered his side of the story as to why he referred to Pac as his dad after posting the photo on his Twitter. “Pac taught me a lot more than my own father. Inspired me, Motivated Me, Listened without ever being there.” He then posted a photo on his Twitter showcasing letters he received from his father in jail. His dad is currently serving his 25th year in jail and wrote a reflective letter to Tyga apologizing.

“This level three shit allows me to work on my case and clearly think,” a screenshot read. “So as I share with you my remembrance of this twenty five year incarceration you better know I’ve always thought of You praying that one day I would locate you and your mom. Give my grandson a hugg and kiss for me. Stay up, stay focused and stay being you… Fuc tha rest. Always Pops,” he wrote to his son. Hopefully, Tyga is mentally in a good place right now amid all the controversy he’s undergone the past several months. SHARE with your friends.
