It was the summer of 1996 and Nas was already picking up a lot of momentum with his sophomore album It Was Written. The climatic video featured cameos from Massachusettes-born actor Frank Vincent and former Miss USA Kenya Moore. The money that Nas decided to invest in the production for “Street Dreams” proved to be a good move since the single was his first song to enter the Top 50 on the Billboard 100 charts, peaking at the #22 spot.
