Slim Thug “Already Platinum” Album Turns 10

Slim Thug’s 2005 album Already Platinum might have only gone gold, but The Neptunes assisted project is a cult classic in Houston. The rapper drew inspiration from his lifestyle prior to making music for the attention-grabbing title.

Somehow, Pharrell and Chad Hugo found the perfect soundtrack to sonically compliment Slim Thug’s distinct voice and delivery. In return, the album added versatility to the proven success of slowed down H-Town hip-hop, and displayed both parties successfully curating dope music outside of their normal comfort zones. In celebration of Slim Thug’s Already Platinum 10th year anniversary, lean back and double cup while letting the album play in order.
