No stranger to fashion, Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook plans to take his love for the art of dressing to another level. Thunder All-Star’s co-owned eyewear company, Westbrook Frames has partnered with the NBA to launch a new series of eyewear for all 30 teams priced at $145 each.

Westbrook’s leaped into the eyewear game after he wore his infamous red frames without lenses to postgame interviews during the 2012 playoffs. Marc Beckman, Co-Owner of Westbrook Frames and CEO and founder of Designers Management Agency United, said getting Westbrook into the eyewear industry was one of their first goals. To help smooth the process, Westbrook Frames has also partnered up with Selima Optique.

Marc Beckman also said:

Being that Russell was the one who created this eyewear trend in the NBA, it was important for us to give him the opportunity to own an equity position, and to be the first out in the category out of all the players in the NBA. We wanted to own that space for Russell.

Curious to what the fashion forward’s eyewear will look like? Yea, us too….sound off and let us know your early predictions.
