Nicki Minaj Says She Modeled The Pinkprint after Jay-Z’s The Blueprint Album

Nicki Minaj paid a visit to the “Today” show on Tuesday to discuss her new album The Pinkprint. The Queens rapper went into detail about how she came up with the name for the album. Nicki told “Today” reporter Al Roker that she feels Jay-Z is arguably one of the best rappers of all time and she looks up to him. So, it was only right that she name The Pinkprint album after Jay-Z’s 2001 album, The Blueprint. Nicki also mentioned that the same way people reference The Blueprint when they bring up Hip-Hop music is what she wants for The Pinkprint in the years to come.
