As a spinoff/sequel, to the Rocky Balboa boxing flicks, Sylvester Stallone will star alongside Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed (played in previous films by Carl Weathers) in the movie Creed. The movie,which is directed by Ryan Coogler, explores a new chapter in the Rocky story and stars Sylvester Stallone in his classic, but this go-around as a trainer helping Jordan’s character Apollo, win a big fight. The film also reunites Coogler with Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan.

Produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, the film is slated for worldwide release on November 25th, 2015, which seems accurate considering most sports biopics tend to come out round the holidays.
