Today we take a trip back down to memory lane to 1999 when Memphis Bleek released his Coming of Age debut album under the Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam imprint. His album title was so fitting to Bleek’s sound and image that his presence was a fresh of breath air with NYC’s style of hip-hop.

Bleek came with a hit track right out of the park called “Memphis Bleek is.” As a JAY Z protege, Bleek had a lot to prove giving his Brooklyn style runs deep within his blood line. As a product of the Marcy Projects he went onto sell 500,00+ records, proving and living up to the name of his debut LP.
