Ludacris sat down with Hot 97 on March 26th to talk about his new album Ludaversal and his upcoming new movie Furious 7. During the interview, Ludacris reflected on his friend and late actor Paul Walker. He spoke about how his passing affected the filming and release of the Furious 7 movie. When asked by Peter Rosenberg who he thought was the closest to Paul Walker, Ludacris responded that he felt like he was since they had so much in common and shared close birthdays. When Ebro asked Ludacris how emotional the set was after Paul Walker’s passing, Ludacris responded:

“By the way, production shut down. Like the movie shut down. During that time period, we didn’t even know if we were going to finish the movie. We didn’t know if it was going to be finished. So it was extremely hard and I think everybody was going through the mourning process in their own unique way. Of course it wasn’t even real to us until we went to that crash site and we saw the people there and his family there. I think the only thing that got us through it was each other. So, you know, Michelle, Tyrese, Vin(Diesel), that’s why the on-screen chemistry is so good because we really are a real family…we made it through together honestly and then about four or five months in, we agreed that we need to finish this movie in his honor.”
