Leah Still Celebrates Final Radiation Treatment

In the HHMW offices, we would like to honor and celebrate Leah Still on completing her final radiation treatment today. At the age of four, Leah is what we call a strong little trooper and a survivor as she was diagnosed with cancer. The word “cancer” is, as it goes without saying, crushing to hear for a parent, let alone a four year old child, but the illness did not stop Leah and her family from staying positive.

Leah’s act of bravery did not go unnoticed as she was awarded the Jimmy V Perseverance award at last week’s ESPYS award ceremony. Because of her health condition, Leah was not able to receive the award, but her father Devon Still, of Cincinnati Bengals fame, accepted the award on her behalf. As a father of a daughter of similar age, my heart goes out to this family and for showing us that with a little prayer and faith can go a long way.
