Records are meant to be broken
We’ve watched Eminem conquer every possible feat in the realm of rap. With relative ease, Marshall Mathers has toppled every single hindrance placed in front of him. While the legend of Marshall Mathers remains untainted, it appears that one promising emcee has usurped Eminem’s throne as being the world’s fastest rapper ever.
Ocean Wisdom just beat out Eminem
Knowing the competitor that Eminem is, we know that he has to be somewhere huffing and puffing, because U.K. rapper Ocean Wisdom ousted him from his throne of being the fastest rapper in the world. He K.O.’d the indomitable “Rap God” for the Guinness World Record for “Most Words in a Hit Single.”
How did Ocean break the record?
Ocean eclipsed Eminem by rapping an otherworldly 4.45 words per second on his single “Walkin’.” By accomplishing that, he crushes Eminem’s previous record of 4.31 words per second, on Marshall’s lyrical brigade of a record “Rap God.”
By the Numbers
On “Rap God,” Eminem rapped 1.460 words in 5 minutes and 38 seconds, excluding the intro. On Ocean’s track “Walkin’,” he rapped 932 words in 3 minutes and 47 seconds. Because of that, Ocean was able to rap 4.45 words a second to Marshall’s 4.31. Eminem owned the record since January 1, 2013.
