YG was arrested after swiping a fan’s diamond chain. Well, former fan.
Stealing is wrong, which is a lesson YG is learning now, after being hit with a felony robbery charge. After stealing a fan’s diamond chain, valued between $3,000 and $9,000, the Compton rapper was arrested in Los Vegas.
The arrest followed the issuing of a warrant; YG turned himself in. Scroll to the end of this article to watch a video of the last time YG had a run-in with the cops.
According to reports, the victim is also suing YG for $250k, citing assault, battery and theft.
As the story goes, the male fan — whose identity hasn’t been released to the public — approached YG at Los Vegas’ Cosmopolitan casino, asking for a photo. When YG declined, the fan allegedly told the “Big Bank” rapper that he wasn’t a real celebrity. The interaction, which went down around 4AM one May morning, took a turn for the worst afterwards.
TMZ reports that YG is seen on the casino’s closed circuit cameras pulling the fan’s chain off of his neck. The chain was seen falling to ground, before YG picked it up and left the scene.
The fan’s lawsuit also alleges that YG’s crew physically assaulted him. Via TMZ:
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the guy says the next thing he knew … he was surrounded by YG’s pals, who punched him in the face and held him down. He says he was totally out of it when YG stepped up and grabbed his gold chain and diamond-laced pendant.
