No rest for the wicked
Despite the fact that he had just signed a $6 million deal with Capitol Records, XXXTentacion said he refused to make more music because he was “tired of the hate.” He posted the October announcement on his Instagram story: “I am tired of being mentally abused for trying to help people,” X said. “I’m done.”
Though the Florida native claimed to have been done with the music world, maybe it isn’t done with him. For reasons not yet revealed, the “17” rapper got into a physical altercation with Migos. Afterwards, X deleted all of his Instagram posts, leaving only a video of what he claims is Takeoff walking away from the fight and a picture of Offset’s fiancée, Cardi B. “Just letting u kno rn bae… i dont got no pressure witchu… i bump bodak orange when I shower… i love u,” he wrote alongside Cardi B’s photo.
X has deleted both of the posts, leaving nothing on his Instagram profile, but nothing ever really goes away… does it?
X was sure to spill his side of the story in a series of Snapchat posts “before [fans] hear it from anybody else.” He said that not only did the Atlanta natives jump him, but they also pulled a gun on him.
The “Jocelyn Flores” artist then proceeded to mock the group for having a gun and not shooting him. “How you have fire and ain’t shoot me? After all that s–t I been talkin’, how the f–k you ain’t shoot me? Y’all ni–as pu–y as f–k,” X said in the rant. “Y’all rap ni–as be rapping ’bout killing ni–as and shooting ni–as and this and that… But you caught me outside a hotel and ain’t shoot s–t boy. “
Trix are for kids
The beef between Migos and XXXTenacion can be traced back to April.
X came for Drake, alleging that the rapper stole his flow on a More Life track, sparking rumors that the 6 God wasn’t making hits from his own talent. Drake denied the rumors, saying, “I’m not stupid, I’m not a sh–ty person like that.” However, that was not good enough for X, who then took to Twitter to bash Drake some more.
When he had seen enough, Offset took action. “You ni–as is silly,” Offset said on his Instagram story. “How you unheard of talking about a ni–a stole your swag? We ain’t even heard of you, shorty. Get your ass out of jail.”
While none of the Migos members have commented or posted about the fight, a fan page of X’s was quick on its feet with “F–k the Migos” t-shirts. It seems as if they took a page out of Lil Yachty’s fan’s book.
Barely a week ago, a fan threw Lil Yachty a “F–k Joe Budden” hoodie on stage. Highly amused, the Teenage Emotions artist wore the hoodie as he performed. A shaky fan-shot video shows Lil Boat wearing the trend-setting hoodie as the crowd loudly chanted “f–k Joe Budden.”
“Ey man, these old ass ni–as need to stop f–king with these new ni–as man. For real,” Yachty said as he paced across the stage.
In response, Joe Budden and his Everyday Struggle co-host Nadeska Alexis wore “F–k Joe Budden” hoodies on the following Everyday Struggle episode.
Oh, the irony… XXXTentacion slams Drake for biting his style, making an enemy out of Offset, then one of X’s fans bites off of someone else in X’s honor. Imitation is a vicious cycle.
