The people want to know
DJ Drama has been working very hard as of late. He recently released his latest endeavor Quality Street Music 2 and has been diligently pushing his newest protegé, XXL Freshman Lil Uzi Vert. To celebrate his recent moves, he sat down with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, where he spoke on a myriad of issues, including his strained relationship with Drake, and whether he and Lil Wayne will ever drop a new Dedication mixtape.
Drama addresses Drake fiasco
After a heated exchange between Drake and Meek Mill last year, with Drama smack dead in the middle of the contentious battle, The Breakfast Club grilled the DJ and asked him several poignant questions. For one, they asked whether they thought Drake took a shot at him on “For Free,” when he rapped: “Last year I had drama, girl not right now.” Well, Drama certainly addressed the line in question.
DJ Drama doesn’t think Drake was talking about him
Of course, Drama didn’t shy away from the question and addressed it head-on. “I haven’t talked to Drake…I think he was talking about last year he had drama. It has to be. Well, I mean I heard it. But he doesn’t know my girl. So, that wouldn’t make sense…I be listening to his music. My girl be telling me to turn it off,” DJ Drama said.
As for his ‘Dedication’ mixtape with Wayne is concerned
Charlamagne Tha God asked Drama whether we’ve seen the end of the classic Dedication series with he and Wayne. Of course, Drama still believes there’s more music on the way. “Every time we mention it, the world goes into a frenzy, but I think it’s gonna happen.”
