Swizz was pretty much destined for fame. His family founded the Ruff Ryders label, so his spot was already waiting for him. During the height of their success, Swizz showed us what he could do on beats and production.
Over the years, he’s become one of the biggest producers in the music industry. And by the sounds of his recent work with Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West and Schoolboy Q, it doesn’t look like he’ll be stopping soon. His love life is just as successful as his music career. The super-producer has been married to singer Alicia Keys for six years, and the couple shares two sons.
The frontman of the label, DMX has not put the mic down since he picked it up. He has had many successful albums and movies. Throughout his career, he’s had his bout with his own demons (drugs, alcohol, and other legal issues), but he has found a way to push through.
Last month, he welcomed his 15th child, a baby boy named Exodus Simmons with his longtime girlfriend, Desiree. He was also recently seen performing at the Bad Boy reunion tour alongside Diddy, as well as serving as a prayer leader backstage before the show.
The first lady of Ruff Ryders held her own as the only female rapper on the record label. Dubbed as the “illest pitbull in a skirt,” Eve has put out hit after hit and was the third female artist to top Billboard. She also had her fair share of hit movies like the Barbershop franchise and her own self-titled TV show.
In 2014, Eve married British entrepreneur, Maximillion Cooper, in Ibiza, Spain. She doesn’t have any children of her own, but has four stepchildren. She recently performed on VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors: Ladies First and starred in Barbershop: The Next Cut, which was released earlier this year.
