A lot of people believe that sequins are only for evening wear, but we’re here to put an end to that! Sequins are also great for daytime looks — that’s why they sparkle so much in the light.
As an artist, the first thing people notice is your swag, so you want to make sure you stand out. And contrary to what some believe, sequins are not just for the ladies. The hottest rappers have rocked a dope, sequined look (see Migos below). You may think sequins aren’t for you, but here are some ways to rock them that may just be comfortable for you.
If you’re one of those people who aren’t sure about sequins, ease into it. Keep it simple and start off with black or white.
For those breaking into the sequin look, statement pieces are the way to go. Jackets, hats, shoes, or bags are all you need to make a semi-bold statement while staying safe. Just be sure to stick with neutral colors like black, white, and silver.
This one is for those who are comfortable with sequins, but aren’t too flashy. Try to add in more colorful sequin items. Reds, greens, and golds are a good start, but make sure to focus on one color. Also, two-piece sequin sets are great.
