Tami Roman is taking on The Real after the daytime talk show apparently called her out for talking about Kim Kardashian’s recent, Instagram-boundary-pushing photos.
Apparently, the talk show hosts questioned Roman for her thoughts on Kim K.’s risque shots. While Tami says she didn’t actually see the show in question, she still responded to their call-out.
“Let me start off by saying that I didn’t watch the show because I don’t watch The Real. I haven’t watched since Tamar left. But it was brought to my attention that they discussed my post about Kim K,” she began. “I don’t know what was said but I was told they were being messy about the post I put up and my point of view.”
She went on to say that she knows plenty of women who she considers attractive who haven’t felt the need to pose without clothes, which was her issue with the Kim K. photos.
“First of all, let’s define sexy- my opinion: Beyonce, Tracee Ellis Ross, Nicole Murphy, Niecy Nash, Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett,” she said. “Those are women who I view as sexy and not once have I ever seen their n**ple.”
She also said that the intention of her Kim K. post was to lift Kim up, not tear another woman down.
“I was actually uplifting her and empowering her by acknowledging all she has accomplished and the fact that you four ladies say on the sow and tried to minimize it and even tried to be messy about it is the reason you all should be off today,” she said.
If you revisit her original compliments, you can kind of see what Roman is trying to say.
Listen, this ain’t about the Kardashians, because I like the Kardashians,” she said. “But, um, Kim, I just want to say: Under the stage of life that you’re in right now, you’re a wife, you’re a mother a three beautiful kids, and you’re a businesswoman, we cannot negate the fact that you have built an empire. And maybe you’re just doing what you know how to do, the only thing you know how to do, how you got in the business, I don’t know. But you past that now, okay?”
She also asked Kim to own the fact that she’s a successful businesswoman instead of continually dipping back into internet-breaking stunts.
“And we’re not negating the fact that you have been consistent in building your brand and your family’s empire,” Roman said. “So own that, sis!”

But this reading leaves out her initial comments to Kanye West, which definitely minimized Kim.
“You know, it hurts my heart to say this, because I love this man. I think he’s so talented. I think he’s a genius,” she said. “But your Black card gets revoked today, Kanye. Because it ain’t a Black man alive that would let his wife pose for the ‘Gram like that unless he pimpin’.”
Check out Tami’s response up top. Was she really trying to big up a businesswoman or was she just taking shots? Regardless of all that, was she correct about the way that Kim should carry herself? Sound off in the comments and don’t forget to SHARE this article.
