Mitchell was anything but Eazy on a recent Delta flight.
Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell had a bit of a meltdown after being bumped from first-class on a recent Delta flight. The actor — who played Eazy-E in the TKTK hit about rap group N.W.A. — was incensed after being moved to a Comfort+ seat when his seat was allegedly double-booked.
Mitchell’s troubles start when he’s ranting angrily on the phone and someone in the seat in front of him jumps in. “Am I talking to you?” he said. “F*cking racist.” When the passenger argues with him, Mitchell laid into him.
“I’m telling you to shut the f*ck up, how about that?” Mitchell said. “Cause I paid for a first-class seat that I’m not sitting in, if you wanna be in a f*cking situation…I’ll bat the f*ck out of you.”
When a flight attendant attempts to pull Mitchell away, he refuses to move and promises to keep himself under control. “I’m good, long as this p*ssy don’t say nothing else to me,” he said. “You don’t know what the f*ck I’m going through while you’re in my f*cking conversation.”
Then he laid out his greivances to the flight attendant. “I swear I’m gonna be good,” he said. “I paid for a first-class seat and I work for Delta…I paid my money and I made my flight on time.”
He puts his headphones on and attempts to take a nap, but the disturbance was enough that the authorities got involved. When the flight attendants announce that everyone will have to deplane so that they can deal with Mitchell, he gets heated again. “Why the f*ck you doing that to everybody else?” he yells at the attendants. “F*ck all that. Get off the phone, white lady.”
He apologizes to the rest of the flight and attempts to show them his ticket. The actor gets emotional when he realizes that he’s not going to make it to his plans tomorrow.
“You don’t know how I feel. You don’t know what I’m going through,” he said to people on the plane who were trying to convince him to leave the plane. “I’m sorry. I’m not trying to make a f*cking situation. I’m not.”
However, when they refuse to look at his boarding pass, he loses it again and asks to leave the plane.
“I got my sh*t. I paid my money. So, f*ck you, p*ssy,” he said. “F*ck you, f*ck you and f*ck everybody who got a problem. Let me off this motherf*cker.”
If Mitchell’s final rant reminded you a bit of the quitting scene in Half Baked, you aren’t alone. Mitchell himself tweeted out an image of the famous scene earlier today, seemingly in response to the video getting out.
According to TMZ, Delta declined to press charges and added that Mitchell missed his original flight. According to the airline, he was flying standby on a later flight and not being pushed from his seat for double-booking like it seemed in the video.
