But did it actually happen?
Beef knows no boundaries. It doesn’t matter if you’re still a reality star or if you exist in the same television sphere, sometimes you just plain don’t like somebody. That’s what happened when one-time Love & Hip-Hop star Rah Ali ran into Sky from Black Ink Crew at Diddy’s New Year’s Eve party. It came to blows.
Rah Ali went on Instagram Live to say that she won the fight while showing off her broken nails. She also tried to get ahead of the idea that she jumped Sky, saying they squared up and fought with Rah getting the best of her opponent.
“Tonight, things happened when they were supposed to happen,” she said. “No one jumped anyone.”
Sky went on her own Instagram to show her face and let people know that nothing happened to her. The photo shows Sky in full-on “Where they at doe?” mode, looking dead into the camera and asking her followers to point out where she took an L.
The pair attempted to fight all the way back in 2015 when they were both on reality TV, but it didn’t work out. Rah said that she finally got her shot to fight Sky without the intervention of security crews and television producers.
The lines around reality and VH1’s reality TV shows has been quite noticeably blurring in recent months, with the Black Ink Crew episodes at the center of it all.
Sky’s own beef with Dutchess devolved to the point that she was hosting an interview of Sky’s estranged son in her tattoo shop, a move that earned her no small amount of flak. However, Dutchess pulled back the curtain to say that the interview came at the suggestion of producers and not from her own ideas.
“I want to be completely clear I have receipts and proof of it all! Producers paid for this interview!” she said on Instagram. “The son was there with his FATHER who advised the interview! The whole interview is available on this is 50 where u see the parts @bigfishusa avoided to use cause it would defame the lies they tell for story lines!”

Black Ink Crew: Chicago head honcho Ryan Henry also said a bit too much recently in a late night rant.
“Throw the whole show away. I quit anyway,” he began.
“That space ain’t mine,” he continued. “[The artists] don’t work for me. They all work for Big Fish Entertainment. I’m just on a show with them ppl. That’s not 9Mag no more it’s the set and cast of Black Ink Crew: Chicago.”
He apologized soon after and said that the rant came when he was drunk. Plenty of Henry’s actions have been portrayed in a negative light by the show, so he vowed recently to be a better person and do a better job of representing his city.
“I will do better. My actions, my foundations, my time and energy donated Where it should be,” he said. “I’m not doing enough for my ppl to not have even known about it let alone invited to it if I was on my sh*t. And I’m not. So here I come. Salute!”
