This is disturbing
It’s been a sad few weeks for Chicago, and it’s only getting sadder.
Police released the video of the killing of Extendo Quono, a rapper who was signed by the late drill boogeyman Fredo Santana. The rapper born Aquoness Cathery was killed by a Chicago police officer as he ran from him through an apartment building. The officer claims that Cathery pointed a weapon at him prior to the shooting but no weapon can be seen in the new footage.
What is seen is Cathery running down the stairs of an apartment building before landing on a wooden patio. It’s there that the officer shoots Cathery. The body cam video continues to roll as the police officer calls for an ambulance. Cathery, who was 24, was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he died of his multiple gunshot wounds.
Reports by police claim that Cathery was carrying a semi-automatic weapon when he was killed. However, the report that he pointed at the officer appears to be untrue.
At the time of Quano’s death, Fredo went to Twitter to mourn his friend and artist.
“Long live quano frontstreet or no street Bzzz,” he wrote.
Since the shooting in November 2017, Fredo himself has passed away. Fredo was admitted to the hospital with liver and kidney failure that many attributed to his long-term affinity for lean.
He posted an image of XXXTentacion visiting him in the hospital and told his fans about the ordeal.
“Been in here since Friday doctor say a n**ga had kidney failure an liver failure I’m getting back to normal sorry to all my fans turbo bandana will not be dropping tomorrow due to my health issues thanks for everyone who prayed for a n**ga I wouldn’t wish this on my worse enemy,” he wrote.
After the health scare, Fredo committed to getting clean.
“Gino found me on da floor shaking bleeding out the mouth having a seizure s**t could a been the end,” he said on Twitter of the terrifying event that made him make the change. “I was running from my old life tryna get high didn’t want to face them demons. Hopefully I can be the face to sho n**gas to slow down an we got our whole life ahead of us f**k being rock stars gettin high I got ptsd.”
When rapper Mozzy poured out a bottle of cough syrup to let me people know he was kicking the habit, Fredo celebrated in the comments and said he was 60 days clean. However, the rapper died shortly thereafter after suffering a fatal seizure.
Fredo’s death led to tributes as well as other artist’s vowing to kick their lean habits. DJ Mustard poured his lean down the sink after Santana’s death and vowed to get over his addiction. The move was similar to the wave of artists, including Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Pump, who tried to quit Xanax following Lil Peep’s death from an overdose of Xanax and fentanyl.

Vert even shared insight into his first clean day.
“Sober 2 day I have been shaking,” he wrote on Twitter. “I have been cursing my love ones out and fighting. In the studio with no thoughts in my head. Teeth biting down because I just wanna be angry at something …… maybe I will just smoke weed tonight.”
