Prodigy from the historic rap group Mobb Deep passed away just yesterday, and news is already breaking about what he was planning on doing with his future before it was taken from him. The 42-year-old had plenty left to give, and we’re just now finding out that he had planned tons of things for his future. Strangely enough, some of the things that he had on his to do list included cooking and… the Illuminati?
While his prime may have been behind him at the time of his death, he definitely still had a lot to look forward to in his future. He published a book, Commissary Kitchen: My Infamous Prison Cookbook, just last year, and he seemingly wanted to dip into the cooking business.
He was a man of many talents, and apparently, he wanted to expand on his cooking abilities. After his death, rappers like Nas reached out on social media, but nothing was more interesting than what the co-author of his cooking book had to say.
Kathy Landoli, the co-author of Prodigy’s Commissary Kitchen cookbook, opened up about what was on the rappers mind before he passed away. The Queens native apparently had some interesting plans.
“The one thing we were planning on doing was a musical about the Illuminati and how the obsession with the Illuminati infiltrated people’s opinions of hip-hop,” she said. So Prodigy was going from rapper to chef to being a writer for a musical?
“We were initially going to do an interactive type of musical with a company that runs The Illuminati Ball, but then we decided to take our idea to an off-Broadway situation. Tell a story with a very specific begining, middle, and end. But it began with prison; it was semi-autobiographical,” she said, as AllHipHop.com reported.
Throughout Prodigy’s career he had plenty of different references to the “secret society,” and a lot of people took note of it. Maybe he was a part of the Illuminati; maybe he was even the one that was pulling all the strings. The world may never know!
