Omarion is apparently still getting some heat from the mother of his children and ex-girlfriend Apryl Jones. Though the couple’s romantic relationship crumbled back in 2016, their co-parenting relationship won’t end for a while thanks to Megaa Omari Grandberry, 3, and A’mei Kazuko Grandberry, 2.
Said co-parenting partnership must be on the rocks, as the father-of-two was low key put on blast by his baby mama. Jones posted a few lurking-eye-emoji-worthy tweets, which insinuated that the “Post to Be” singer isn’t as great a father as he portrays.
“The legacy continues…..”
“People will sho nuff do it from the gram knowing damn well you ain’t even close to what you fraudulently are representing!!! #cutitout,” the former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star tweeted. Jones then boldly dared anyone to clap back at her, adding, “And say something I dare you…cause I’ll always be able to say more…😝 #inthatorder.”
Jones didn’t say Omarion’s name, but she truly didn’t have to. Social media users and media outlets alike took her comments and ran with it.
Ironically enough, her tweets were close on the heels of Omarion posting a string of photos of their kids on Instagram. “The legacy continues…..” Omarion captioned the black and white photos of him and his toddlers.
This isn’t the first time Jones has vented about her famous baby daddy on Twitter. Shortly after the couple’s split — which Omarion said was “mutually decided” by them — Jones tweeted her thoughts on the singer’s then-newly-release song, “It’s Whatever.”
“I’ve been only single for four months/ I’m just tryna get my swag back/ Probably try to catch a few kids/ It’s like I never let ’em ride back/ Torn apart, catch me, I’m on the run/ Told my BM she can have that/ Put that on my daughter and my son/ Every night I’m having flashbacks,” Omarion sang on the track.
“I must’ve did it to myself/ Look unfamiliar to myself/ You don’t remember what you did/ I can do that all by myself/ I had to put this s–t on record/ I’m probably better by myself/ I had to put this s–t on record/ Just so you could get the message.”
In response, Apryl tweeted, Full of S**t people rub me the wrong way…lol they just do.”
Not as It Seems
Before “It’s Whatever” dropped, the parents’ breakup seemed peaceful. Omarion posted a press release of sorts on Instagram, informing his followers of the decision while thanking them for their support and understanding.
“This is the only public statement I will make about a private matter,” he wrote on the platform. “After this, I will not speak on or respond to any questions or comments on the matter. I thank everyone in advance for respecting my wishes to keep my family life private.”
“The beautiful and talented mother of my children for whom I hold the highest regard and respect, Apryl Jones, and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,” he went on. “We continue to love and support one another and still share a common goal to remain friends while being great parents to our children.”
Meanwhile, Apryl went with a more blunt statement. The mom-of-two simply tweeted, “Single…. the end….”
