Welp. The notoriously open rapper Cardi B may have actually kept something closed. While the artist — who consistently denied the pregnancy rumors being thrown at her — is reportedly in Miami filming a music video, she got caught majorly slippin’.
It it seems that the star actually is pregnant, and there’s photographed proof.
According to MTO News, Cardi plans to reveal her pregnancy in Miami. However, before she could do so, someone snapped pictures of her burgeoning belly, spilling the news onto the internet.
In the photos — “taken from BEHIND SOME BUSHES” — viewers can see the rapstress dressed in an elaborate costume, featuring a yellow full-length skirt and bedazzled top. While a stylist maneuvers the material of the skirt, he cups the fabric just right, giving off a nearly perfect view of Cardi’s baby bump.
“No b***h I’m just getting fat,” she said when news of her pregnancy first hit the web earlier this year. “Let me [be] fat in peace.” No one bought her story though. In fact, a few weeks later, a TMZ source insisted that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper is not “fat” but with child.
The insider spilled the New York native’s plans to work right up until the birth of her and Offset’s first child together, slated to be born within the first week of July. She’ll supposedly be seven months pregnant while performing at California’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
On that same note, the star will be two months post-birth when she goes on tour with Bruno Mars. According to the informer, Cardi still plans to join to the “That’s What I Like” singer on his 24K Magic World Tour in September.
The string of performances will pop off in Denver, lasting for several weeks afterwards. So far, tour stops include Colorado, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Tennessee and more. The duo is also projected to stop in Canada for two nights.
Invasion of Privacy
However, news of her pregnancy status isn’t the reason the star is currently trending. The Bronx native recently surprised fans with another single, “Be Careful.”
“I can’t believe I’m already trending,” Cardi wrote on Instagram. “I’m so overwhelmed ,tired and having extreme bad case of anxiety .I need to go to church this Sunday cause lord i need some soul healing and mind relieve.”
Before thanking her fans for “supporting” her, she revealed that pre-orders haven’t been put out yet because she’s “getting everything mix to perfection and I’m working on this ONE song that i really want on my album.”
The rapper dropped the title, cover and release date of her first studio album via Instagram on Tuesday, March 27.
“My album cover !!! LADIES AND GENTS !” she began in the caption. She added the title of the album — Invasion of Privacy — and told fans to expect the project April 6.
Sporting a short, blonde hair style and a modest black and white fit with matching cat-eye sunglasses, Cardi’s album cover gives off serious throwback vibes. Flowing nicely with title, the LP’s front mocks a video as it is being recorded, featuring a red recording icon and a scratchy filter over the photo.
“IM SOO REASY FOR THIS S**T,” one fan commented on Instagram. “APRIL 6 WILL BE MARKED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND IN ALL OF HUMANITY’S HISTORY,” another wrote on Twitter.
