While fans were still shook from Love & Hip Hop: New York‘s reunion, Lil Mo sent out one last tremor. Reposting a heart-heavy Instagram post that “fit my life right now,” the artist revealed that she lost her baby.
“Just now I watched the #LHHNY reunion and we were hype to share that we were expecting what would be baby #6 for me,” she wrote alongside the post. “Thank you for all the congrats and well wishes. Regretfully we lost the baby on Feb. 6!”
“A baby born after a miscarriage or loss of a baby is referred to as a Rainbow baby,” the post began. “Today we remember all babies born sleeping, or we’ve carried but never met, those we’ve held but couldn’t take home, the ones that came home but didn’t stay.” The post encouraged viewers to “make this your status,” sending a head nod to loved ones who have experienced losing a child.
“The majority won’t do it, because unlike cancer, miscarriage, still birth and SIDS is still a taboo subject. Break the silence,” it concluded, before adding, “In memory of all angels too perfect for earth.”
According to the “4 Ever” singer, she’s in good spirits. “All is well,” she wrote in the caption. “God has bigger plans and I know when the time is right, there will be another one!!”
Sadly fans didn’t have much time to shower the mom with love, as she informed the public of her miscarriage the day after it learned of the pregnancy. She shared her yay-I’m-preggo news on the show’s reunion episode Monday (March 5) night, saying “Merry Christmas, I’m pregnant” to her husband Karl Dargan. The announcement came (uncomfortably closely) on the heels of cheating rumors against the boxer, leading many to assume stress added to her miscarriage.
Hopefully some good news will come from the LHHNY cast though. Another television-breaking announcement to arise from the reunion was that Remy Ma’s in vitro was a success. The “Melanin Magic” rapper could be pregnant any day now, which is a welcomed change after her heart-breaking battle with infertility.
Throughout their struggle to have a child, the couple remained positive. In January of 2017, the duo chatted with In Touch Weekly, proving that they are as faithful as they are humble. “It’s in God’s hands,” Remy’s husband-of-10-years told the outlet. “You never know what the future holds, we’re just taking it one day at a time and are enjoying each other and enjoying life.”
“If you think he’s gonna let me off the hook that easy… I don’t know why he’s sitting here trying to act like ‘Oh yeah, it’s in God’s plans’ —
like, yeah right,” Remy shot back jokingly.
For now, the two are simply enjoying their one-on-one time together. According to the “6AM” rapper’s Instagram page, Remy just threw him a 80s/90s themed 40th birthday party. “My wife just gave me a 80’s 90’s theme party!!!!!! She went and got all my favorite artist,” he wrote alongside a shot of him at the party.
Doug E. Fresh, Brand Nubian, Black Moon, Milk D, Smif-N-Wessun, Fat Joe and more performed, helping Papoose ring in his 40s. “All this was a surprise!!!!!!!!!! She got me,” he added before saying that his shindig was filled with “all my family/friends.”
