It seems as though Instagram is the new Dr. Phil. K. Michelle used the platform to air out her grievances with best friend (possibly soon-to-be ex-best friend) Jonathan Fernandez. In response, the Love and Hip Hop: New York star/celebrity makeup artist took to the platform to defend himself.
Between the two, Instagram got real emotional.
During an Instagram Live session, the “Love ‘Em All” singer insinuated that Jonathan was a phony and anything but a true friend, as he allegedly hasn’t been there for her as she suffered severe health complications. The tearful reveal led K. Michelle fans to verbally attacked the reality TV star via social media.
Jonathan — who allegedly has undergone numerous blood transfusions after over 20 plastic surgeries — headed to Instagram to respond to Kimberly and her fans. “Television sensationalizes things… Life is not that dramatic,” he said before adding that after his own transfusions no one was there but his mom.
More than that, Jonathan revealed that he did in fact contact Kimberly a few weeks ago, telling the singer that he was “praying for her.”
After wishing his friend a good and quick recovery, the makeup artist said, “If there’s going to be this ‘He’s a good friend, he’s a brother, no I hate him’ then we don’t need to be friends.” As he was visibly bothered by having to put his personal business on a public forum, he continued, “If this is the only method of communication and the only way that we can speak is going on each other’s lives than so be it. I wish you the best of luck.”
He also reminded the singer to keep her mind in a positive place to recover in the best way she can, advice Kimberly should probably listen to. Since starting her journey to get her bottom implants removed, she has been seemingly emotionally drained. With health complications still sticking around even after the removal process, the star found herself even more emotional.
Just three weeks ago, the star updated fans on the status of her health, breaking down into tears as she did so. The heart-tugging Instagram post had supporters rallying behind her, encouraging her to keep going and recover quickly.
“I just see things a whole lot differently,” she shared in the Instagram Live video.
Though “it’s been so rough,” K. Michelle said that she’s “doing better.” The “Can’t Raise a Man” singer revealed that she’d undergone blood transfusions before adding, “I thank y’all for everything. I’m okay. I’m crying because I’m happy. I’m not crying because I’m sad. It’s been so painful. It’s been a lot. So I just thank God that I made it out on the other side.”
She went on to say that no one knew if she would be okay or not, adding, “This the first time in my life I’ve ever gone through something like that.”
She thanked everyone “who was there” for her before telling fans that her doctors were allowing her to head home. “I’m going home soon. My mama’s here,” she said crying. “I just want to say that I’m okay, cause I know y’all been so worried.”
Her emotional display had fans showering her with prayers. One fan wrote, “Praying for u sista i know how u [feel] I’ve been there God will behold u threw all of this stay strong.”
“Get well soon. Speedy recovery,” another said.
