All in the Family
Kris Jenner is nothing if not business savvy, having successfully built the Kardashian-Jenner brand into a multi million dollar entity. The momager effectively manages the careers of Kim K, Khloe K, Kourtney K, Kendall and Kylie Jenner… And now, she’ll have Kanye West and Travis Scott’s careers under her care.
According to Page Six, an insider told the outlet that Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kris is not only responsible for the split between Kanye and longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic, but that she’ll be managing her son-in-law and Travis Scott from now on.
A New Thing
“They’ve been off and on for years,” a source close to those involved reportedly told Page Six of West and Zwvkovic. “But Kris is in [West’s] ears. Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart — but Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it.”
The insider added, “She also told Travis Scott to fire Mark Gillespie. They are 100 percent part of that Kardashian-Jenner brand.”
Kanye, who split from Izzy at the end of March, has yet to confirm or deny the news… much like Travis Scott, who recently had a baby with Kylie Jenner. However, someone from the famous camp did respond to the news.
When the story got back to the youngest of the clan, Kylie, she took to Twitter to shut it down. Alongside the article Complex wrote on the matter, Kylie tweeted, “This isn’t true.”
Whether the news is accurate or not, fans didn’t waist time tossing in their two cents. “THEY WACK FOR THIS,” one fan said on Twitter. “Lmao what hell does she know about rappers, rap, or the rap industry. Besides her daughters going through all of them,” another added.
“Someone save them this isn’t good y’all thought Get Out wasn’t real someone save these brothers ASAP,” a user posted.
Most of the comments and responses are more of the same, with only a few giving Kris props for “building an empire out of nothing.”
“Regardless of whether or not this is true, Kris is a straight up gangster. One of the biggest hustlers in the game from every level,” one user wrote. “Like damn you can hate her or love her all you want but you can’t deny the fact that when it comes to her business she’s a f**king goon.
Another added, “Something tells me that they gon make a lot more money. . .”
This news comes after Yeezy settled his $10 million lawsuit against insurer Lloyd’s of London, after the company refused to fund a claim made from the canceled part of Ye’s Saint Pablo tour. After battling it out in court for over two years, West’s lawyer, Howard King told Rolling Stone that the case had been “amicably resolved” in Feburary.
West sued the company back in 2016, after it neither denied nor paid out his claim. The suit alleged that the company “purposely and maliciously” shared “privileged, private and personal information” to the public in order to build legal grounds to deny the claim.
The details of the settlement were never disclosed.
