She said what?
Katy Perry went and got herself into a situation that she probably doesn’t want to be in. The 32-year-old singer had some choice words for a fan after they said they didn’t like her haircut; it opened up a whole new world of information about her choice of words. The Weeknd’s producer even said that she’s not the girl you think she is. Find out what’s really going on!
The whole situation started when Katy Perry tried to land a bad joke on her Instagram. She was live when a fan said that they missed her black hair, to which she responded: “Aww okay, really, do you miss Barack Obama as well? Okay, times change, bye!”
Fans didn’t like that, taking it as a racist act, so they called her out on Instagram.
The joke honestly didn’t seem like she was trying to be racist and a lot of people are definitely overreacting to that. Regardless, she should have thought before she said it.
After the incident, The Weeknd’s producer chimed in on the action. He recalled a tweet that he made back in 2013, saying that Katy Perry referred to him as a N-word.
“Y’all know she says it regularly right,” he tweeted.
