Oh, Kanye
Ebro Darden’s last conversation with Kanye West allegedly revealed some interesting things about the Chicago rapper. According to the Hot 97 radio host, Yeezy told him that he “loves” Donald Trump.
After Ebro relayed the conversation on the radio, Kanye’s approval ratings with fans got a little shaky. “I’m so over Kanye Kardashian,” a fan said.

According to Ebro, a “friend of Kanye’s” came at the radio host sideways, leading Ebro to call him. “I saw your lil slick comment. If you had something to say why you didn’t just call me?” Ebro says he told Kanye’s associate. “And so he started going in the background… Kanye West starts screaming in. He’s like ‘Ebro we just don’t wanna be out here actin’ like n***as.”
“Then he said: ‘I do love Donald Trump,'” Ebro continued. “[Kanye] went on to talk about… ‘Nobody really showed love for me when I was addicted to opioids and in the hospital.’ I said, ‘You’re a liar.’ I said, ‘I know people who personally reached out to Pusha, Scooter Braun and anybody close to you to come to your aid. People love you, bro.'”
Ebro’s cohosts fell quiet, as Ebro adamantly confirmed that Yeezy truly “loves” America’s most controversial president thus far. Fans, however, were not so quiet.
“Is it time for another hospital visit? Not being disrespectful,” an Instagram user wrote. “I thought Kayne was going to come out of hiding a new man. He the same,” another wrote.
“Guess he should have held his tongue until after his album and tour,” commented a user.
2016
Many referenced Kanye’s 2016 hospitalization. Mid-November of 2016, West was rushed to UCLA Medical Center after suffering from what was reported as mental breakdown. The incident happened in the middle of his Saint Pablo tour and shortly after his wife Kim K was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Throughout the weeks leading up to his breakdown, the “Gold Digger” MC was said to be sleep deprived and an emotional mess as the anniversary of his mother Donda West’s death approached. West then canceled his Saint Pablo tour, sparking the heated lawsuit between him and insurance company Lloyd’s of London.
After his hospitalization, news of Kanye’s health became more and more based on hearsay. The rapper ghosted from social media, showing up on his wife’s social media accounts sparingly. Even the paparazzi had a hard time tracking him down as Kanye went into seclusion.
He waltzed back into the spotlight late last year, exactly six days before the 10th anniversary of his mother’s death. In November of 2017, he his the stage alongside Kid Cudi. During a concert at the Aragon Ballroom Chicago, the “Good Morning” MC surprised fans and media alike as he popped up on stage to perform “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” a collaboration him and Kid produced for West’s Life of Pablo album.

According to Page Six, an insider told the outlet that Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kris Jenner is not only responsible for the split between Kanye and longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic, but that she’ll be managing her son-in-law and Travis Scott from now on.
“They’ve been off and on for years,” a source close to those involved reportedly told Page Six of West and Zwvkovic. “But Kris is in [West’s] ears. Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart — but Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it.”
When the story got back to the youngest of the clan, Kylie, she took to Twitter to shut it down. Alongside the article Complex wrote on the matter, Kylie tweeted, “This isn’t true.”
