K. Michelle fans will have to keep up with their fav a new way because the star has confirmed that she has left Love & Hip Hop behind. Her news struck avid viewers of the series by surprise, since she’s featured on the latest promo video for Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.

K. Michelle has been active since 2009. The 34-year-old was welcomed into the R&B scene after signing with Jive Records. Her record deal produced singles like “Fakin’ It,” “Fallin,” and “I Just Can’t Do This.” Though her tracks earned spots on the charts, K. Michelle was still considered a bit of an underdog.
So, she kept working.
She joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta in 2012, which set her up to ink a new deal with Atlantic Records. Under her shiny new contract, she released Rebellious Soul, an album that hit no. 2 on the Billboard 200 and no. 1 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
Her following albums — Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? and More Issues Than Vouge — did comparatively well, but still… The R&B singer, songwriter, and television personality felt the need to reinvent herself. So, in December of 2017, she got herself a new name.
