She has no time for old beef
Did you know K Michelle and Meek Mill had beef? Neither did we. But apparently, it’s over now. K. Michelle called the beef off today on Twitter.
The lovefest started when K. Michelle started talking about Kodak Black. The reality TV star said that she plans to go see the rapper in jail while he’s locked away. The rapper was recently caught up, with officers finding a gun on him as well as marijuana. The arrest was streamed over Instagram Live.
Although Kodak has a number of offenses to his name, Michelle seems unbothered.
“My Kodak Black infatuation is real and y’all know I don’t like this trendy non musical new age rap!” she wrote. “But I’m going to see his a** [in] jail. He actually writes, rides a beat, and seems genuine 2 who he is!”
While thinking on jail, she landed at Meek Mill. She said that their beef was silly and called it off, calling Meek a friend.
“I’m also squashing this stupid non beef with Meek,” she said. “He shouldn’t be in jail and I’m putting money on his books. That was my friend and regardless I’ll always have his back! PERIOD.”
All this reflecting made her land on a sad thought.
“I guess all my favorites rappers are dead or in jail,” she said.
However, it’s not all bad news in K. Michelle’s world. She recently went through a butt reduction surgery and she says it’s because she finally feels happy being the way she was born. In an interview with xoNecole last year, she said that women who wish to go through similar procedures should sit and think about their motivations. Se said:
“Get to the core of what’s making them have low self-esteem. What happened in your life that made you feel that way? For me, it was a lack of love for myself from men and it made me feel worthless and you got to get a grip on you. If you want a new butt, get that, but take it from me, don’t get so depressed and feel as if you’re not worthy because we’re all here for a reason. But you have to determine why. Why do you want that? I know I did and it wasn’t for the right reason.”
News on the Meek Mill front is a little more bleak. The rapper’s been locked away and in spite of a massive public outcry over what many people view as an unfair sentencing that came from an unjust system, he’ll remain behind bars for the time being.
However, when Meek does finally return, he’ll have the support of some big names. Everyone from Jay-Z to his one-time rival Drake fell in behind the “Free Meek” movement and Jigga even went so far as to defend the rapper in the pages of the New York Times. In that opinion piece, Jay called the entirety of the probationary system into question, calling the setup a “trap” that unfairly imprisons people for minor offenses.
“The specifics of Meek’s case inspired me to write this. But it’s time we highlight the random ways people trapped in the criminal justice system are punished every day. The system treats them as a danger to society, consistently monitors and follows them for any minor infraction—with the goal of putting them back in prison,” Jay wrote. “Probation is a trap and we must fight for Meek and everyone else unjustly sent to prison.”
