Joseline Hernandez and Stevie J’s baby drama filled countless tabloids and gossip blogs over the last several months. Now fans will be able to leave the speculation and unnamed sources behind for an inside look at how Joseline is bringing up her daughter. Produced by The Mane Event producer Carlos King, it looks like the Puerto Rican Princess is headed back on television.
Joseline Takes Miami is her second attempt at stepping out on the Love & Hip Hop brand. She left the show that made her a star, and it left a noticeable hole in the cast that the show has attempted to fill by bringing past castmembers back into the fold. It’s also her first outing on her own, as her relationship with Stevie J has completely crumbled.
The new show will focus on Joseline juggling life as a single mother with her desire to advance her music career. According to Hernandez herself, who spoke to HipHollywood, the show will find her working with a “talented array of Latin artists” to try to launch her onto the charts.
Back At It
Sadly, the show does not have a release date, but HipHollywood says the show can be expected in the next few months.
It’s somewhat surprising that Joseline would jump back into the reality TV game so soon after slamming the whole enterprise. After Kathy Griffin released a video in which she alleged that she was offered drugs before tapings of Watch What Happens Live, Joseline pulled back the curtain around her own experiences.
She said that being offered drugs and fed storylines was commonplace during her time on Love & Hip-Hop.
“Why she act like this is new,” Joseline responded to the news in a series of Instagram comments. “All the reality shows give cast members drugs alcohol and they tell you who to beat up too.”
What do you think?
Though we can’t see why Joseline would want back into that world, it’s easy to see why a producer would want Joseline. She was the highlight of the show during her time on LHHATL. Not to mention, her drama with Stevie J is tailor-made for a reality show.
Stevie and Joseline are currently working out a way that they can both see their young daughter, though the producer has said that Joseline barred him from visiting several times.
“Another day where I went to see Bonnie and I wasn’t able to see her,” Stevie said wearily in a video update captured by The Shade Room. “She didn’t open the door for me but she opened the door for Dawn’s niece. Free Bonnie, I’m gonna see you soon, baby. I’m gonna see you real soon.”
“FYI- this is not a joke or a game. Gonna go hard for mine until she’s back in my arms,” he wrote in later posts, showcasing homemade t-shirts that said “Free Bonnie” on them. “Stay tuned so I can send these disturbing messages so I show the world how sick and evil the person is.”
