Mama's coming to therapy
Jim Jones’ mama is always going to be around for everything that Jim does… and that includes marriage counseling! In an unorthodox move, Jim Jones, his wife Chrissy Lampkin and his mother will all appear on the next season of Marriage Boot Camp.
The announcement of the odd triumvirate came along with WeTV sharing the rest of the cast for the upcoming season of Marriage Boot Camp, which will focus on reality stars whose marriage troubles are rooted in their families.
Chrissy and Jim worked hard to keep their marriage a secret, but it looks like they aren’t trying too hard anymore. The pair were secretly wed last summer according to anonymous sources who spoke to the gossip blog Real Cool Nation.
Via their story:
“According to the insider, the two held and intimate, small, private ceremony to exchange their vows over the summer. They specifically wanted to keep this whole affair private.”
We guess that’s out the window if they are willing to go on television and hash things out in front of God and everybody else. The casting of Jones’ mother also comes at an interesting time for her. Her home burned down over the Christmas holiday while Jones and the rest of his family were there celebrating.
Jones posted a video of the fire being put out and said that he felt lucky that no one in his family was harmed.
“We can always buy new houses new cars new everything but we can’t buy a new family,” he said at the time.

Jones has been giving insight into plenty of strained relationships in his life. He’s been very open about what caused his falling out with fellow Dipset member Cam’ron in recent interviews, especially now that the pair seem to have patched things over for a proper Dipset reunion.
“For the most part, me and Cam always had a strange relationship. Not in the beginning — in the beginning, we was like two peas in a bucket, f**k it,” he told Hot 97. “As time goes and you get money and you’re that young with so much power and nobody over you telling you what you should be doing, how you should be moving, you tend to separate. Money makes you your own man, especially when you make a sh*tload of it.”
Things went all the way left when Jones found out he was left off of Dipset remix that he had recorded a verse for, without anyone notifying him. He explained further:
“Somebody called me and was talking to me about the record and was like, ‘Yo, you know he took your verse off that record?’ Because I didn’t hear the record — I just thought it was a Juelz and Killa record, respect, that’s Dipset all day. But then I was like, ‘What? Somebody pull the record up, lemme hear what record this is.’ And, lo and behold, it was the record I had jumped on. So, you know, when y’all ask about Diplomat records, there are Diplomat records [in existence]. Somehow, I’m not making the cut.”
All that’s in the past, though. Hopefully Jones, Lampkin and Mama Jones can squash whatever their problems are the same way that Cam and Jim did.
