Along with Janet Jackson’s cover issue of Essence comes a personal letter from Jackson to her fans. The mom-of-one wrote of her “intense” battle to keep her happiness and peace, penning, “I struggled with depression. The struggle was intense.”

Iggy Azeala recently opened up about her battle with depression, after paying a hefty price for sharing her most recent work with the world. After the “Fancy” rapper offered fans a taste of her latest modeling project, she got back “unnecessary” negativity.
The star, who has taken to posting revealing Instagram photos more than often, was criticized for posing more than she raps. In response, she penned a lengthy note to the masses, writing, “If it were up to me, I’d be releasing songs at the same rate I post pictures.”
