We all know that a ton of people think that the Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me didn’t do a very good job of showing what Tupac was really like, but we didn’t think it would get this serious. Stars like 50 Cent, Jada Pinkett Smith and Snoop Dogg were trashing the film when it first came out. They said that the movie didn’t do a very good job of showing how Tupac actually lived. Jada, however, said that she didn’t like the way her own character was portrayed…
Jada got pretty heated about how her relationship with Tupac was shown in the film, and it doesn’t seem like she’s going to be holding anything back in the near future. She recently sat down on The Ryan Cemeron Morning Show With Wanda Smith on Atlanta radio’s V-103, and she opened up on some interesting topics.
She was there to promote her new film Girls Trip, but she ended up talking more about All Eyez On Me.
“I wanted people to know that what you’re seeing in regards to my relationship with Tupac is not true, and that was more important to me because… my relationship was really special and, um, it was very complicated and it felt like it was a huge disservice,” she said.
She went explained that if she was portrayed correctly then it would have been a great way to shed light on who Tupac really was.
“Pac is Precious”
She continued, saying, “If you’re really saying that you’re honoring a man’s legacy, then honor his legacy. And if you don’t have the story, fall back until you do… I feel like we as black people, we have got to protect those individuals that we say are important to us, to our history and to our culture. We cannot expect other people to do that if we’re not willing to do that ourselves. Pac is precious to us.”
