Giving the People What They Ask For
Cardi B played people pleaser today, as the star made a move to “make everybody dream come true,” even her “haters.” She hopped on social media to send a message to her fans, asking them to stop supporting her before admitting that she and her family don’t deserve the life they have.
“Today, I’m going to give the haters exactly what they want,” she began. “This is gonna come out my mouth since they want this so bad for me.”
Stop the Love
“Hey everybody,” Cardi went on. “Can y’all please stop watching my videos? Can you guys please stop talking about me? Can you guys please stop listening to my music.”
She went on to sarcastically say that she “deserves to be a stripper,” before adding that her mom doesn’t “deserve to live in a crib” and her unborn baby doesn’t “deserve to have a good life.” She said that she herself doesn’t “deserve no money,” instead she should still be living in the Bronx at “450 Woodycrest.”
“There y’all go,” she concluded. “Y’ll got it. I said it out my mouth. I hope this y’all n***as that talk s**t about me richer. I hope this s**t… y’all blow it up. I hope this make y’all happy.”
Of course, the haters still weren’t happy.
“She sounds stupid, this sarcasm sucks,” an Instagram user wrote. “Plp Gon talk about you to the day you die don’t like it b***h stay off social media,” wrote another.
As one person put it: “B***h f**k you.”
What did Bardi Gang have to say back? “Lmao at all the people who HAD to comment to let it be known they don’t care. Shouts out to y’all losers.”
“THAT’S THEY JOB AS A HATER #cardib LET EM DO THERE JOB LMBO CUZ YOU DO YOURS SO WELL IT ONLY MAKES YOU STRONGER #KEEPHATING WHILE #CARDIKEEPSHINING,” said another fan. “They’re even madder,” chimed in a user.
Cardi has spoken directly to her haters before. In March, Cardi B won iHeartRadio’s Best New Artist award. The always-herself-and-never-anything-else rapper gave everyone a good dose of her personality, laughing and joking as she accepted her award.
The Bronx native — who “became the third artist and first rapper in history to place her first three Billboard Hot 100 entries in the chart’s Top 10 simultaneously” — thanked everyone who helped bring her to the top and finally gave an update on her first studio album.
“I’m going to thank a lot of people because a lot of people helped me with my success, so here it goes,” she began. The “Bartier Cardi” rapper went on to send shout-outs to her publicist, her team, her family, her fiancé Offset and Atlantic Records.
“I want to thank my fans, Bardi Gang,” she continued. “Cause even when I’m wrong they be like, ‘She still right.’”
Last but certainly not least, the rapstress thanked her “haters.”
“And I want to thank my haters too,” she said, pausing to laugh. “Because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it, but it benefits me!”
Before heading off the stage, Cardi made the crowd applaud one last time, saying, “My album will be coming in April.”
