100% Free Gucci Mane
The day has come. Put your free Gucci shirts away because Gucci Mane, aka Guwop, is officially finished with his house arrest. Even though he was released from actual prison in May 2016, he was still in custody of the state and under house arrest until yesterday, September 20, 2016.
He’s getting right to it and dropping another album called Woptober on October 17, 2016. The title of the album is a play on his other moniker, Guwop, because if nothing else, Gucci is all about his guwop.
Why was Gucci locked up again?
On May 13, 2014, Gucci, born Radrick Davis, accepted a plea agreement for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. His release date was set at September 20, 2016, and that day has arrived. Apart from a few approved concert appearances, Gucci has been confined to his house since his release from prison in May.
Now that he’s all the way out, we can expect a lot from this notoriously hard working Atlanta rapper. He’s already done a ton of work since his release from prison in May 2016, and he’s not slowing his pace.
What’s Gucci been doing since he got home?
Gucci hit the ground running and put in tons of work as soon as he got out of prison in May. He released the album entitled “Everybody Looking” right out of the gate. He’s also been featured on a handful of songs. He doesn’t plan on stopping.
He was plotting and planning hard when he was incarcerated, and doesn’t plan on slowing down at all. With his unique combination of hard lyrics, punchlines, and smooth flow that bounces around a bangin a$$ trap beat, excitement surrounds the release of his next album in October.
Gucci Mane: No Time to be Wasted
Even though Gucci is best known for his smash hit “wasted,” he’s actually publicly claimed to be sober multiple times since his release. This is believable not only because of drug testing involved with being on parole, but because he’s been so damn productive.
He’s releasing his second album since his release in May. Entitled Woptober and set to be released on October 17, 2016, the album features various artists including Travis Scott, Rick Ross and Young Dolf. There’s some people that when you first see them, you think, “Nah, I’m not going to learn anything from this person.” Though I may have felt this way about Gucci in the past, we could all take a lesson in perseverance and hard work from old Radrick.
