Is the show a huge disappointment?
The new division of WE tv’s Growing Up Hip Hop franchise is becoming a huge disappointment. Very different from the LA/New York division, the Atlanta cast seems to be doing everything but growing up. Filled with nothing but overly scripted drama and juvenile tantrums, this show is making a bad name for itself.
Supposedly a ‘reality’ show, GUHHA is anything but! Should we have expected more from a person who posts fake Instagram pics? Maybe he was preparing us for what’s to come?
Brandon Takes Shots at Lil Wayne’s Career
On Thursday’s episode, Reginae downplayed Brandon’s career by asking him who he’s worked with besides Zonnique!
Well, who have you worked with Brandon? Because we’ve never heard of you. “Somebody who could have possibly helped your father’s career!” Brandon replied.
She came for his career; he came for her father’s. It is Atlanta, the city of shade. Was there a reason we made this comment 85% of the focus for this episode?
Like a thot at an NBA game, Brandon’s statement ran its way through the cast, all the way to the parents! Bring up Lil Wayne’s name, and everything becomes explosive!
Tiny called Bow to tell him it’s going to get serious now that Wayne is involved, and Deb went off on Brandon, telling him he’s caused an issue and had no business arguing with a 17-year-old.
Not My Girlfriend
Let’s move on to Ayana, who introduced us to her “girlfriend,” Amy. Amy moved from NY to Atlanta, and Ayana is very insecure about it. She went as far as to show up to her new apartment [unannounced], looking for “other b**ches” as Ayana put it.
Did Ayana really think she would find someone, especially since Amy’s new apartment was filled with the camera crew? Ayana said she wouldn’t be insecure if she had a title. Oh, so she’s not your girlfriend?
To add insult to injury, Ayana asks Amy to meet her Dad (DJ Hurricane), to which she said, “I don’t know if I can commit to that.” Amy and Ayana don’t seem to be on the same chapter, much less on the same page.
Have you realized we haven’t mentioned Bow at all yet? Keep reading and we’ll tell you why.
