Get it, girl
Instagram comedian TravQue has a bit where he walks up on women, compliments them, and then dramatically walks away from them. He’s managed to do it to everyone from Cardi B to Taraji P. Henson. It looks like he finally picked the wrong woman.
He rolled up on Erica Mena and got slapped in return. Mena didn’t take kindly to his walking away so she swatted him in the back of the head. If that wasn’t enough, ItsBizkit jumped in to get into the comedian’s face.
The blogger yelled at the cameraman to shut it down and repeatedly reached for the camera. Then he demanded to know who TravQue was.
Of course, TravQue could have done a little research into who he was walking up on. Erica Mena wasn’t afraid of throwing hands during her run on Love & Hip Hop… and she hasn’t become shy in the time since her exit from (what she called) #MenaMondays.
She was even caught fighting outside of a club recently when a man went a bit too far. Here’s the scoop via our report on the incident:
“He passes by her and appears to shove her slightly although he says, “Don’t touch me.” She replies, “Alright then, back the f**k up.” He did eventually back up and took his hands off of her, but his little dig to her made her lash out.
The man says, “This is what I’m talking about with dumb a*s f**king hoes…” There’s hardly a woman alive who would let that go without some kind of clap back, but Erica did more than that; she gave him a punch back.
It’s hard to see where her fists of fury landed, but she definitely tried to get him in the face. The ladies filming are obviously on her side as their fight devolves into more verbal punches.”
Even more recently, she nearly fought with Zell Swag, squaring up with him in another club. Maybe Trav went into this knowing that she might blow up. It’s good for clicks, after all.
Is It Real?
You have to consider that this might be a staged event. Both Bizkit and TravQue peddle in the vague “influencer” space. Meanwhile, Erica Mena might be angling to get back in the reality TV ring. ItsBizkit’s extreme overreaction definitely begs the question of whether or not we’re all being set up. After all, he got his fame off of an overreaction.
As he explained to HotNewHipHop, he blew up when he recorded Funkmaster Flex dissing Drake at a Jadakiss concert.
“I knew just off him saying that, that clip is gunna go viral. So I went to my cameraman and said, ‘I might not ever talk to you in life again if you didn’t get that.’ And he was like, ‘nah, I got it, and I actually got you in the clip.’ I’m the guy like, I don’t need to be in front of the camera, I could be behind the camera, I’ll play my position. He sent it to me at five in the morning, I posted it on twitter…I woke up, and I was getting ready to start posting it and sharing it, and it was already on every platform you could name, including HotNewHipHop, and then Drake started following me.”
