Who do you think walked away victorious?
Part of the reason that people are so obsessed with rap is all the beef. Famous feuds are the lifeblood of the industry and have lead to some of the most entertaining battles and diss tracks in rap history. Nothing is more motivating than proving you’re better than the person you’re battling, especially when you’ve talked a big game about your superior bars. So, yeah. Rap fans — we love the feuds.
We just never expected to see such a brutal and magnificent battle between two popular fast food chains!
The Battle Begins
It all began when Twitter user @LeftAtLondon posted a picture of a Game Stop located next door to a Wingstop and wrote, “Isn’t this that Migos song?” The user was citing the lyric “Rain Drop, Drop Top” from the song “Bad & Boujee.” People thought that the meme was kind of funny, but no one expected it to turn into anything.
Wingstop was pleased to be a part of this parody, and they responded, “Gamestop, Wingstop. Copped a new game for the [Xbox]. Saucin’ and tossin’ our wings in a pot, pot. We got that Original Hot, Hot.” Twitter user @Fatlaz901wanted to get his favorite fast food spot in the mix and asked Wendy’s to step up their game. Wingstop laughed at it. However, Wendy’s was not having it.
Wendy’s responded to Wingstop’s laughter, “Sit down, be humble.” That was clearly a reference to the Kendrick Lamar hit “Humble.” Wingstop geared up for a fight, and Wendy’s stepped up to the dinner plate…
Wingstop: “Be there. Done that. Bring something fresh… not frozen.”
Wendy’s: “Fresh, never frozen since 69 Trying to cop that mixtape, better get in line Grabbed a couple wings now you’re trying to fly But nothing gets ’em dipping like a Frosty and fry.”
Wingstop: “A frosty and a fry? Giiiirl bye. Wingstop flavor bringin’ all the cravers! They eat us now and save you for later.”
Wendy’s: “Please They eat us now, they eat us later Adding up our Wins on a calculator You’re a laughless clown, or a king that’s throneless Let me get those wings uuuuhhhhhhh boneless.”
Wingstop: “Add ’em up, add ’em up. Ain’t nothin’ like Wingstop ranch in a cup. Not here to throw shade, just spittin’ some heat. [burger]/[chicken] nah, that’s weak.”
Wendy’s: “Wings flying high but it’s time to run Cuz we’re serving up bars on a warm toasted bun We keep it spicy with our chicken, our flow, and memes So it’s nighty night now, brush your teeth, sweet dreams.”
Wingstop: “You tried it… you really did. Who’d you borrow those lines from Sid the kid? It’s closing time and we’re leaving frozen beef behind”
Wendy’s: “We know why the chicken crossed the road But you crossed the boss and straight got told We had some fun, but yeah we’re through Gift wrapping this L to send home with you.”
Wingstop: “You’re queen of retweets with no soul. We’re king of flavor & everything else for that matter. You talk a good game but it’s all chatter.”
Looks like Wingstop started and ended this incredibly epic, crispy fried rap battle, but it doesn’t mean that they were the ultimate. Who do you think won this round of fast food rap battles?
