This past weekend, Drake spent time on Instagram unveiling a letter he wrote to his mom over 10 years ago. In the letter, he unabashedly spoke on his eBay addiction, his mom funding his music and wardrobe, and more. Let’s just say, Drake definitely has a mom that loves him very, very much.
Here’s the letter that Drake penned to his mom
In the letter, Drake explained to his mom how he had to cancel their Wireimage subscription because of his hefty Ebay charges. He also vowed to reimburse his mother through various payments. In the caption of his post, he wrote, “eBay was the addiction back in 2006. Def come a long way and it’s safe to say I most likely settled this debt. ??? #NothingWithoutMyMom #IProbablyBoughtSomeEvisuJeans.”
Drake’s early struggles
Prior to Drake’s monstrous success, he struggled to finance his music. Despite having a role on Degrassi, Drake had difficulty in raising money for his musical endeavors. He took out loans, and even had his mother assist him in financing his dreams. It’s safe to say that his mother has definitely recouped.
