This won't be pretty.
Drake’s had one of the best years in music, and 2016 is just getting to its halfway mark. The Toronto rapper is about to embark on his nationwide Summer Sixteen Tour alongside Future, and the two are hitting up every major city, some of which have multiple shows. Such a full schedule can come with some complications, and now Drizzy has already had to cancel a huge portion of the tour, leaving a chunk of fans devastated.
Drake has cancelled his Meet & Greets.
Drizzy has reportedly cut all of the Meet & Greet opportunities out of his tour. The “6 God Meet & Greet” package cost fans $1,000, which included a photo with the 6 God himself, as well as a slew of tour items including scented candles, shirts, and more.
Fear about Christina Grimmie’s murder.
The news of Drizzy canceling the packages comes in light of The Voice singer’s murder, who was shot and killed at her own concert by a stalker. The rapper has reportedly canceled the Meet & Greets due to “scheduling conflicts” on the tour, but it may also have been done as a precaution for Drake’s own safety.
Ticketmaster has refunded fans.
Ticketmaster has reportedly refunded the Meet & Greet packages to those that purchased them, with some receiving up to $500 in refunds. Fans unleashed hell on social media after the news broke, with some even questioning if Drizzy really cared for his go-hard fan base.
