He's got the keys, but does he have the cash?
DJ Khaled is on the top of the music game right now. He’s even a hit in tax commercials. But as we know, coming up in the world means people are going to start coming for your action.
DJ Khaled’s song “I Got the Keys” is currently under fire from music producer, Chris Hill, who claims the successful rapper ripped off his sound from an eight year old album.
Will the DJ decide to settle with his accuser, or will he take his fight to the highest court in the land to prove his innocence?
Just a few months ago, “I Got the Keys” was a big hit for DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, and Future. The song still plays in heavy rotation, and the video has almost 80 million views on YouTube.
But all that fame has attracted the ear of someone who thinks that those are his beats.
Producer Chris Hill has come out swinging against DJ Khaled for the alleged theft. Chris claims that they met up in an Atlanta nightclub in October 2008, and Chris gave Khaled Chris Hill Beats (Gangsta Boogie Vol 2) which featured the unique beat.
Though the amount of money Chris Hill wants hasn’t been disclosed yet, you can bet that it will be in the millions, due to the massive popularity of the song.
