DaBaby has had a helluva 2019 being one of the biggest chart-topping rappers of the year. But as always, with much success comes a lot of downfalls, and DaBaby has been seeing a lot of those, recently. The “Suge” rapper has been the center of a lot of legal trouble, and this time, things went a bit too far. The rapper has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Miami man. Here’s what happened…
On Thursday (Jan. 2), the DaBaby was taken into custody for questioning by detectives in Miami, according to TMZ. With seven cop cars on hand, the Kirk rapper was handcuffed and taken to police headquarters to be questioned about a robbery and beatdown that went down involving DaBaby and his crew.
Here’s what went down: A concert promoter met up with DaBaby and his crew to pay the rapper and co. $30k for a gig. The meeting went left when DaBaby accused the promoter of shorting him $10k. That’s when “things just went out of control,” a source told the outlet.
In a surveillance video, DaBaby can be seen taking money and other property from a man on the ground while dragging him. TMZ soon learned that the rapper robbed the victim of $80, a credit card, and possibly his iPhone 7 before showering him with apple juice, according to the police report. The site reports that a second victim was punched in the face.
DaBaby was arrested for battery and has a bond set for $1500. The rapper says that he has $250k locked up in his Miami hotel room and he needs his lawyer to retrieve it since he’s being forced to stay away from the hotel.

TMZ says that the police report also states that DaBaby has a warrant out for his arrest in Dallas for organized crime activity. Last month, the rapper and a friend attacked a food stand employee at The Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.
And that’s not all. The rapper has a long rap sheet of legal offenses.
Just last week, DaBaby was arrested for marijuana possession in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina after performing at the Bojangles’ Coliseum. According to the rapper, upon leaving the venue, 15 cops surrounded his vehicle, searched it, and found weed.
