Chance the designer
Chance the Rapper is known for doing things a little bit differently. He’s never signed to a record label, keeping himself an independent artist. Plus, he releases all the music that he makes for completely free. While a lot of America is focusing all their attention on the negatives and how they feel about Donald Trump, Chance is looking back and thanking Barack Obama in a special way.
Chance the Rapper, the artist from Chicago, wants to give his thanks to former president Barack Obama, and he wants to do it in an interesting way. Chance and Joe Fresh Goods, another Chicago native, want to express their thanks to the fellow Chicago-fan Obama by promoting the “ThankUObama” clothing line.
Chance took to twitter to show off the gear, which includes jerseys that say “Obama” on the back accompanied with the number 44, and even has some “Thanks Michelle” clothing as well.
Some research was definitely done for the clothing line, as some of it even includes things like Michelle Obama’s high school alma mater, and even the power couple’s wedding anniversary. The designer, Joe Fresh, said that he “Wanted to timetamp a period in my life where I felt like I can do what I wanted to do and be whatever I wanted to be.”
