Cardi B is one of the most outspoken celebrities, by far. From calling shady promotors out while on stage to responding to haters on social media, the New York native truly doesn’t play. So when people come for her, they shouldn’t be surprised if they get a little something back. For example…
She let a popular social media personality have it after he accused her of ignoring kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation while at the Grammys. According to the rapstress, she’s “not that industry b***h you wanna try.”
“Not all your favs are as they seem.”
Social media has morphed every person with fingers into a critic these days, which means after the Grammys plenty of people hit up their platform of choice to share their thoughts on the annual event. Nate Garner, a model and Instagram star, felt the need to shed light on Cardi’s less-than-honorable behavior at the function.
“Cardi B looked at, ignored & walked past the Make-A-Wish foundation kids there to meet the Grammy nominees & only came back when forced by her publicist to take a quick picture,” Nate tweeted alongside a tea cup emoji. “All of the other stars took time to meet & hug each kid. Not all your favs are as they seem.”
Bardi Gang swooped in to assist, defending the rapper in the tweet’s comments. “If you know her then you know NOBODY makes her do ANYTHING. He may have just said something and she took it upon HERSELF to go talk to them,” Twitter user @TinyTina0791 wrote.
“People are trying to find things not to like at all cost,” user @Rhonnybay added.
Minutes after his initial post, Nate added to his story, debunking any theory that he was making stuff up. “I was seated directly behind the kids for 4 hours & witnessed this happen,” he tweeted. Switching up his tone a lot, he went on to say that he’s a Cardi fan.
“Maybe I shouldn’t tweet about it but I like Cardi & was just disappointed seeing her use it for publicity as I watched everyone else show these strong kids true love & empathy,” Nate wrote.
Regardless, after over two thousand retweets and 12 thousand likes, Cardi had been bothered with the tweet enough. While the evidence of Cardi’s clap back seems to have been deleted from her social media pages, The Shade Room had the receipts.
Cardi’s explosive response to Nate’s allegation should stand as a warning to all others. Not only did the “Bartier Cardi” artist deny ignoring the kids, but she also let the 21-year-old know not to speak about her ever again.
“When white people got nothing to talk about,” Cardi began her response. “I keep seeing this s**t… FIRST OF ALL. I wasn’t even able to speak to so many outlets and i was extremely rush cause i was late for pre check for performance.”
“Second i did stop and i said hi and i took a pic,” the NY rapper continued. She went on to say that she’s not the one to “try,” before telling the user to watch where they go from now on.
“I will violate you,” Cardi said, adding, “in real life as well don’t make me catch you a** again.” “I will crush your s**t,” she concluded.
