“Nikko is here!!!” Bae wrote. “He came 5 weeks earlier and caught me and @imjust_chill off guard.” After saying that the little one is”healthy and strong,” she continued, “Mommy and daddy Love You.”
Young Bae’s baby will join the company of Black Ink Crew: Chicago star Ashley Brumfield’s baby. Photos of the happy couple and their friends made their way onto Instagram after her baby shower in August of last year. She was all smiles at the event and thanked her friends for making it special.
“Yesterday was beautiful!!! Baby Ashdon will soon be here awaiting his arrival,” Ashley wrote on her Instagram at the time. “Huge thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to Ashdon’s babyshower a special thanks again to @goldencreativeevents and my big sis and Ashdon’s godmommy @djs4lifefor making yesterday special you are greatly appreciated.”
Change of Heart
The happy-go-lucky attitude was a far cry from where Ashley was a few months prior. The Black Ink star desperately wanted a daughter and didn’t mind letting that be known at her baby’s gender reveal party.
When the couple popped big black balloons at the end of the party — filled with color-coded confetti so that everyone would learn whether they were having a boy or a girl at that moment — Ashley’s reaction was less than enthusiastic. She saw red over not seeing a bit of red with some white in it; the blue confetti clearly irked her. As everyone celebrated their new baby boy, Ashley shoved her husband, stomped her feet and appeared to try to run from the scene. Of course, without context, there’s no telling if we’re missing a joke, but it looks pretty sincere from our end.
Whatever Ashley’s feelings, they had definitely cooled by the end of the party. She was all smiles in the post sharing the news with the world.
“The Brumfield’s are having a BOY!” she wrote under photos with her husband. “Don and I would like to thank everyone for coming out. We are very happy and excited to start this next chapter.”
