According to reports, Tekashi69’s violent outburst in Houston at the beginning of 2018 has finally caught up with him. The ever-controversial rapper is now wanted by the cops.
At the top of this year, Tekashi found himself hanging out in Houston, Texas’ Galleria Mall. While walking from store to store, the rapper was spotted by young Santiago Albarran.
As the story is told by Albarran, he started recording the New York rapper before 6x9ine stopped walking to yell for him to erase the video. When he didn’t immediately do as the rapper asked, Albarran alleges that 6x9ine began chocking him as bodyguards aggressively surrounded him.
The teenager deleted the video in exchange for not being hurt, but a video of the altercation ended up on social media anyway. Someone on the outskirts of the scene recorded Tekashi grabbing Albarran by the jacket. However, the clip doesn’t clearly show Tekashi grabbing the victim by the neck.
After the attack, Albarran’s parents notified the police.
According to Alabarran, his family saw the altercation before reporting it to authorities, who claim to have witnessed the scratch marks on Albarran’s neck.
For the January event, there’s a warrant for Tekashi’s arrest.
The Law and the Minors
The rapper hasn’t responded to the allegations or the arrest warrant yet. However, this is not his first run in with the law or with the law and a minor.
Late 2017, the “Billy” rapper accepted three felony counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance charges. The guilty plea came after Brooklyn rapper ZillaKami posted photos of Tekashi fondling a female, claiming that she was only 13 years old, over the summer of last year. (Since the female is a minor, her name and exact age are undisclosed.)
Tekashi, who was well over 18 at the time, vehemently denied the allegations against him in the beginning, shocking his supports after pleading guilty.
“He doesn’t even like to say the R word, we don’t play around with that s**t,” a representative for the rapper told Mass Appeal earlier this year. “As someone with a 3-year-old daughter we take this very seriously… Their whole thing was to try to slander his name and make him look terrible.”
As HipHopMyWay previously reported: 6ix9ine was notable for his bubbling-under hit “Gummo,” his colorful appearance and meme-able hair and his associations with more-famous acts like Trippie Redd. However, Redd was quick to distance himself from the rapper once the allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor came to light.
“I’m sorry brozay, 1400 don’t promote pedophiles,” Trippie said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “If we give n***as clout, we give n***as clout. It was an accident.”
Pi’erre Bourne — the producer of his hit who also put together Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” — separated himself from the rapper on social media. “F**k that Gummo s**t,” he wrote. “Y’all n***as doing weird s**t some opps.”
