Chance the Rapper is known for having a pretty wild personality. If you’ve ever seen him perform live, you know just how exciting his concerts can be. He recently performed at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut for Hot 93.7’s Hot Jam concert, and things got a little messy. When you go to a Chance the Rapper concert, you can expect things to get crazy, but this is taking things to a completely new level.
Take a Chance
At Chance the Rapper’s concerts, things usually get pretty crazy. The only difference is that the craziness is usually just coming from Chance on stage. This time around, it was a situation with the fans that was crazy. Over 90 people were hospitalized during the concert, and a lot of them were apparently experiencing some “severe intoxication,” according to the police.
The police officers had made 50 underage drinking referrals on Friday at the Hot 93.7 Hot Jam concert in Connecticut. Most of the people charged were issued a date to appear in court.
Brian Foley, The Deputy Chief involved, said that the entire crowd was made up of people that seemed like they were either in their late teens or early 20’s. According to him, the partying and excessive alcohol consumption was “extremely prevalent.”
Foley even got on his Twitter account during the concert and wrote a warning to parents. “Parents: Did you drop your teen off at the concert tonight… HPD is enforcing underage drinking in the lots,” he wrote.
Over 20,000 people were at the concert. Kyle, PnB Rock, and ANoyd also performed at the show.
